Jon has been actively involved in the wine industry since 1995.  After spending 3 years as a wine sales representative with Orlando-Wyndham, he decided his real passion lay with winemaking.

His winemaking career began as a cellar hand with Richmond Grove in the Barossa Valley.  He then moved to the Hunter Valley where, as a winemaker at Tamburlaine Wines, he was influenced by Rod Kempe of Lakes Folly, PJ Charteris of Brokenwood and Andrew Thomas of Thomas Wines.

In 2003, Jon returned to Queensland to establish Witches Falls Winery.  Jon's commitment to making exceptional wines and to enhancing the reputation of the Granite Belt as one of Australia's emerging premium wine growing regions remains the key focus of the Witches Falls ethos.

Aussie Vineyards was established in 2005.  Jon has been winemaker since its inception and he applies the same philosophy - striving to achieve the very best across the Aussie Vineyards range.

Jon has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Oenology (winemaking) from Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga.
